Project Abstract

The objective of this project is to design and implement a DC to AC sine-wave inverter targeting efficient PV-integration to the grid. We have completed the design and simulation of the inverter, filter, transformer, and controller, using Matlab. So far we got preliminary results that showed the validity of the simulated design in actual hardware implementation. However, implementation of the real system faced some challenges due to the COVID-19 effect, which limited our access to the Lab to perform our final testing and verifications. Currently, we are working on designing a power amplifier that might help keeping output voltage constant with load, which aim to increase the operating range of inverter.
